How we test
Every review follows the same sequence at our Rotterdam bench. We order and test the products ourselves and keep receipts, screenshots and tracking numbers in the review file.
Order and log. We record the listing URL, price, agent fee and the date the order is placed.
Warehouse QC. We request warehouse photos and compare them with the seller listing images before paying for international shipping.
Timing. We log the interval from order to agent warehouse, and from warehouse to our door in Rotterdam, separately from US-bound test parcels.
Unboxing. We photograph the box, labels, dust bags and any paperwork before the item is handled.
Measurement. Sneakers: weight per shoe, midsole durometer, stitch density per 10 mm, lace abrasion over 30 cycles. Watches: timegrapher readings in six positions, amplitude, beat error, case finish under a 10x loupe, bracelet end-link clearance with a 0.05 mm feeler gauge. Bags: hardware weight on a scale, edge paint under magnification, lining pull test, zipper cycle count.
Fit and wear. Two editors wear or carry each item for at least 20 hours across a two-week window.
Comparison. Each review includes a table comparing the tested item with at least two other items we have tested.
Hands-on scores published by the desk may occupy the full 1 to 5 scale. We score materials, construction, accuracy and value, and the review body explains each number.
Scope of the findings
The review identifies the unit, tested sizes, instrument conditions and the observed wear window. Comparison items are named, and measurement limitations are explained without treating a sample as proof of an entire batch.
