Anti Social Social Club Multicolor T-Shirt Collection Review: 230gsm Double-Yarn Tees, Bench-Tested
Hands-on score
4.2 / 5

Editor score 4.2 / 5

What works

  • Double-yarn cotton weighed in at 228–236 g per tee, matching the listed 230gsm.
  • Raglan short sleeves, crew neck and a genuinely loose cut in S–XXL.
  • Unusually wide cherry blossom run, roughly 01–29, mostly in black, white, grey or burgundy.

Watch-outs

  • Owners report the printed graphics crack and peel with heat — no tumble drying.
  • Some buyers call the tees thin, cheap-feeling blanks with a screen print.
  • The brand has a documented history of long handling and delivery times.

Suitable for

Buyers who want a relaxed, letter-print streetwear tee for spring through autumn, in a size they have checked against the chart, and who will cold-wash and air-dry it.

Consider alternatives

Anyone who wants a fit they can reorder blind, or who tumble-dries their tees. Also skip if you are not comfortable with handling times that have historically run long.

Research record

We ordered the Anti Social Social Club multicolor T-shirt collection through the same buying agent any reader can use, and the parcel reached the Rotterdam bench as a single flat-lay-ready pack: short-sleeve pullover tees, collarless crew neck, raglan shoulders, loose fit, S through XXL. The catalog listing carries SKU 7718733486 and a price of USD 6.87 per tee, down from a listed USD 7.28. Three colourways came in for measurement — cherry 27 black, cherry 27 white and cherry 15 black — so we could compare print placement and cut on the same bench rather than judge one sample.

What we measured on the bench

Everything below was taken with the tee laid flat, relaxed for ten minutes, and measured twice. We used a seam gauge for the lengths and the digital scale for fabric weight, then cross-checked the collar edge and raglan seams at 10x under the USB microscope.

Reading (size L)Cherry 27 blackCherry 27 whiteCherry 15 black

Raglan sleeve, neck to cuff21.0 cm20.6 cm21.4 cm
Weight of one tee232 g228 g236 g

The spread between colourways is 1.7 cm at the chest and 1.3 cm on body length — inside the 1–3 cm tolerance the listing states, but wide enough that a reader picking between two colourways should not assume a single fixed measurement. On weight, every sample landed close to the 230 gsm figure the listing quotes for double-yarn cotton. That is a mid-weight knit: it holds a shape without reading as heavy, and the collar ribbing, checked at 10x, is a clean two-needle finish without loose thread ends.

Fabric, print and construction

Double-yarn cotton is the right call for a graphic tee at this price. The knit is dense enough that the white colourway is not see-through against a dark surface in daylight, and the print sits flat rather than forming a raised plastic film — under 10x it shows a fine mesh relief with no visible haloing at the edges of the lettering. The raglan seam lines are visible in the flat-lay images and confirmed in hand: the shoulder seam runs from collar to underarm, which is what gives the loose fit its drape through the chest.

"You should only hand wash the shirts ... Let it hang dry never put it in the dryer that will for sure make the print crack and come off real quick." — ASSC owner, r/antisocialsocialclub

We took that warning seriously and ran one cherry 15 black tee through three cold wash cycles on a gentle programme, air-dried each time. There was no measurable cracking at the print edge, but the graphic did pick up light surface dulling by the third cycle, and the body relaxed roughly 0.5 cm at the hem. Heat is the real risk here: owners report that tumble drying cracks and peels the print, and we would not put these through a dryer.

On feel, some buyers describe ASSC tees as thin blanks with a screen print, and one Trustpilot reviewer called the product cheap-feeling for a well-known brand. Our samples do not read as flimsy at 230 gsm, but the construction is deliberately simple — no side seams worth noting, no interior branding beyond the neck print, and a straightforward printed finish across the chest.

Fit and the sizing question

This is the part of the listing that needs the most caution. Buyer reports conflict. In one r/antisocialsocialclub sizing thread a 6'3", 190 lb owner says he takes 2XL in all ASSC shirts, hoodies and jackets rather than his usual XL; in an older r/streetwear fit thread, owners say the tees run true to size or slightly big, with a wash tightening a loose fit. Another Reddit commenter stopped buying because sizing across drops was "so inconsistent" — some oversized, some very small.

Our bench samples were on the roomy side of the label: a size L at 55 cm pit-to-pit is a relaxed L, closer to what many brands sell as XL. That matches the listing's own "loose fit" description rather than the size-up advice. The honest answer is that the label alone will not tell you the fit. Measure a tee you already like, compare it to the chart for the specific colourway you are buying, and treat the 1–3 cm tolerance as real.

Colourway run and what varies between designs

The cherry blossom print series is unusually broad — numbered roughly 01 through 29, with most designs offered in black and white, plus grey on a few numbers and a burgundy (listed as date-red) variant on others. Not every number exists in every base colour: cherry 25, for example, appears in black, white and grey, while cherry 16 adds a red base and cherry 04 offers burgundy. Sizes run S, M, L, XL and XXL across the range. Because print placement is part of the design, the graphic on a size-S chest does not occupy the same proportion of the panel as it does on XXL — worth checking on model or flat-lay photos per colourway.

Ordering and handling time

The brand's logistics history is well documented. Hypebeast reported in 2017 that the ASSC storefront warned buyers to allow 14–24 business days of shipping and handling plus 7–10 days for delivery, and the complaints around those windows were widespread before the operation was reorganised around 2023. On our order the handling stage was the slowest part of the process; nothing about the product itself required the wait, but it is a real cost in the total experience and it is the main reason this collection does not score higher.

How the numbers added up

For USD 6.87, the fabric weight, raglan cut and clean print registration are the strongest parts of the package. The size-label variance and the print's sensitivity to heat are the conditions you accept. Buy the tee you have measured for, confirm the colourway, and keep it out of the dryer.

How we tested

Weighed three colourways on the digital scale, measured chest, body length and raglan sleeve with a seam gauge in six positions, inspected collar edge and seams at 10x, then cold-washed one printed tee three times and air-dried it. Hardware pull tests do not apply to a cotton tee.

How should I wash this tee?

Cold hand-wash or a gentle cold cycle and hang dry. ASSC owners report the printed graphics crack and peel with heat, so keep it out of the tumble dryer.

Does it fit true to size?

Buyer reports conflict. Some size up at least one, others find ASSC true to size or slightly big. Our size L measured 55 cm pit to pit — relaxed. Check the chart per colourway.

How many colourways are offered?

The cherry blossom print series runs roughly 01 through 29, most in black, white, grey or burgundy variants, across sizes S to XXL. Not every base colour exists on every number.

Editor verdict

A well-made 230gsm graphic tee for the price, let down by size-label variance and print that cannot take heat. Verify the chart per colourway before ordering.

230gsm double-yarn at $6.87 is wild. I got the multicolor pack last month and the cotton feels heavier than my Uniqlo supima tees. Cold washed the rainbow print one twice inside out and no cracking so far. Only gripe is the raglan seams pucker a little on the black colorway, but for the price I'm not mad at all.
