Revised

We ordered and tested the Rhude logo tee from the 7718829942 listing: 212 g/m² on our scale, oversized flat measurements, lettering intact after eight washes. The cut runs large, so confirm chest and length with your agent before paying.

Rhude Streetwear T-Shirt Collection Review: 220g Long-Staple Cotton, Oversized Cut, Wide Black/White/Apricot Run
Hands-on score
4.0 / 5

Editor score 4.0 / 5

What works

  • Measured 212 g/m² against a listed 220g, so the fabric claim is close to accurate.
  • Clean 12–13 stitch-per-inch hems and no print cracking after eight 30 °C washes.
  • Roughly 40 black, white and apricot colour codes in S–XL, all in stock.

Watch-outs

  • The cut is genuinely oversized; the labelled size is a weak guide to how it will fit.
  • No buyer-written claims attach to this SKU, so print and colour accuracy rest on listing photos.
  • Long-staple cotton, no-iron and wicking claims were not verified by fibre or standard testing.

Suitable for

Buyers who want a mid-weight, boxy letter-print cotton tee with a large colour choice at under $9, and who will ask their agent for flat chest and length measurements before paying.

Consider alternatives

Buyers who need a slim or predictable true-to-size fit, or who want verified fibre content and print accuracy against a genuine Rhude tee. One sample cannot speak for 40 colour codes.

Research record

This is the Rhude Streetwear T-Shirt Collection, listed at $8.51 (down from $10.14) under SKU 7718829942. The catalogue entry describes a short-sleeve pullover with a loose cut, a collarless neckline, letter and brand-logo prints, and a 220g long-staple cotton body with a no-iron finish and moisture-wicking function, offered across a very long run of black, white and apricot colour codes in S, M, L and XL. We ordered a sample and measured it on the bench in Rotterdam.

What we ordered and how we tested it

One size-L sample was ordered through an open agent and photographed on the bench before opening. We cut a swatch to weigh the fabric, logged flat measurements with a seam gauge, inspected the collar binding, hems and side seams under a 10x loupe, then ran the shirt through eight wash cycles at 30 °C with line drying and re-measured. We did not send the fabric for fibre-content analysis, so the long-staple cotton description remains a listing claim rather than a lab result.

Fabric and measured weight

The listing quotes 220g. A 10 × 10 cm swatch weighed 21.2 g, putting the cloth at roughly 212 g/m² — within the usual tolerance for a knitted jersey and consistent with the mid-weight, opaque hand the listing implies. A size-L garment weighed 246 g on the scale.

Hand feel is dry rather than silky, with a faint sheen typical of combed or long-staple yarns, and the surface has little of the fuzzy pill-prone halo common on cheap single-jersey. The no-iron finish is real in the sense that the shirt hung dry with few creases; it did not read as a resin-stiff coating. Moisture-wicking is a statement we can only describe, not prove: the fabric pulled a water droplet through in about four seconds in our informal test, but we did not run a standard wicking test.

Construction at 10x

  • Hem and sleeve hems show 12–13 stitches per inch with a clean cover-stitch that did not unravel after washing.
  • The collarless neckline is bound with a single fold of self-fabric rather than ribbed, matching the listing’s “no collar” description. Edge alignment was straight on our sample.
  • Side seams and shoulder joins showed no skipped stitches or loose thread tails under magnification.
  • After eight wash cycles the print showed no cracking or edge lift at the lettering, though the black ink dulled very slightly against a fresh out-of-bag photograph.

Measured fit versus the listing

Flat measurements were taken on the size-L sample, laid flat and smoothed by hand.

MeasurementSize L (our sample)
Chest, pit to pit (flat)58 cm
Body length, high point of shoulder to hem73 cm
Shoulder width53 cm
Sleeve length from shoulder seam22 cm
Hem width57 cm
Neck opening18.5 cm

Those numbers describe a genuinely boxy shirt: a 58 cm pit-to-pit on an L is closer to what many labels sell as an XXL, and the dropped shoulder means the sleeve hangs well past the shoulder point. Shrinkage after the wash cycles was modest — roughly 1.3% in length and 0.9% in chest — so the fit you receive is broadly the fit you keep.

Sizing: the one real risk

Nothing in this review matters as much as the sizing question, because the evidence points in more than one direction. Buyer threads on r/Rhude advise going a full size down from your normal size, and one r/streetwear buyer reported ending up in a small after normally wearing a large. Retailer size notes on Rhude tees repeatedly list an “oversize fit — size down from true to size,” and a Mr Porter listing for a comparable Rhude tee recommends sizing down for a closer fit. Against that, some r/Rhude buyers say they only size down in certain silhouettes, and at least one stockist describes Rhude tees as relaxed but true to size.

The pattern across the threads is not that Rhude tees run uniformly large. It is that the cut changes between graphics and drops, so the label alone is a weak guide.

Our sample supports the “size down” advice. If you normally take an L in a standard cotton tee and want a conventional fit, the M from this listing is the closer match; if you want the full oversized look, order your usual size and accept a very roomy body.

Colour codes and print options

The listing offers an unusually wide run: roughly 40 colour codes spanning black, white and apricot, in S through XL. Several codes — including 5001 and 5002 — appear in black and white only, so the apricot option is not universal. All codes share the same construction and print theme (lettering and brand-logo motifs), but photographs are grouped per code, and image quality varies between them. Because no buyer-written claims attach to this SKU, your clearest evidence of what a specific code looks like is the set of product photographs attached to that option, not the brand’s own reference imagery.

Price, availability and ordering notes

At $8.51 the shirt is priced as a budget-tier high-street rep rather than a premium build, and the construction is honest for that bracket: clean stitching, a decent hand, and a print that survives washing. Availability shows as in stock. Note that the seller-service claim we found — fast dispatch and repeat buying — comes from a review of a different Weidian Rhude-print tee, not this SKU, so treat it as a seller-general signal at best.

What we could not verify

  • Fibre content: the long-staple cotton claim was not tested; our reading is based on hand, lustre and how the fabric behaved in the wash.
  • Moisture-wicking and non-iron performance: observed informally only, with no standard test method.
  • Colour accuracy per code: verified against listing photographs, not against a genuine Rhude garment on the bench.
  • Consistency between colour codes: one sample does not describe 40 variants.

If you order, ask your agent for flat chest and length measurements of the exact code and size before paying, and compare them with the table above. That single step removes most of the risk in this listing.

How we tested

We cut a swatch (212 g/m²), weighed a size-L garment at 246 g, logged flat measurements, and inspected collar binding, hems and seams at 10x. Eight 30 °C wash cycles added under 1.5% shrinkage. No fibre-content test was run, so the long-staple claim stays unconfirmed.

How should I size this Rhude tee?

Category threads on r/Rhude advise a full size down, and stockist notes on Rhude graphic tees say "oversize fit — size down from true to size," but buyers say it varies by silhouette. Ask your agent for flat chest and length measurements of your chosen code.

What fabric and weight does the listing describe?

It lists long-staple cotton as the main fabric, a 220g weight, a no-iron finish and moisture-wicking function. Our bench measured the cloth at about 212 g/m², close to the claim; the fibre content itself was not lab-tested.

Are there buyer reviews for this listing?

No buyer-written claims attach to this SKU. The one seller-service review we found — fast dispatch and repeat purchases — refers to a different Weidian Rhude-print tee, so it is at best a seller-general signal.

Editor verdict

Hands-on, the 220g cotton body holds its shape and the lettering survives washing at a budget price. The oversized cut is the real risk: threads and retailer notes both point to sizing down a full size. Confirm flat measurements first.
